Teacher: “Good morning, everyone! Imagine you have a pen pal from another country. They ask you: ‘What’s your city like? What do you like most about it?’ What would you say? Let’s think. What if… you had to describe your own neighbourhood or city in just three sentences? What would you include?” Possible student variants: “I would say the main street, my favourite park, the shops.” “I would mention the river and the bridge.” “I’d talk about the people and the food.” Teacher: “Great! Today we’ll create a City Profile – just like you would for a pen pal. We’ll read about Sydney first, then make our own project.” Use of AI tool: At this stage, teacher can show a quick AI‑generated image of Sydney (e.g., from Midjourney) to spark curiosity. |
