Teacher sets a 90-second timer and explains a rapid mini-game "Symptom Sprint".
Scripted prompts:
Teacher: "Class, we will play 'Symptom Sprint'. I will show a picture or say a short clue. In 90 seconds, you must shout out as many symptoms as you can. Work quickly — every correct symptom gets a clap. Ready? 3, 2, 1, go!" Teacher shows 6 rapid flashcards (fever, cough, sore throat, headache, stomachache, runny nose) or reads short clues. After 90 seconds teacher stops and asks: "Which symptoms did we hear? Count them together." Teacher gives immediate positive feedback and links to the lesson goals: "Today we will listen, speak and write about these symptoms." |
Students watch/listen and call out symptoms quickly; teacher notes responses.
