3. Analyze peer articles to evaluate the effective use of conjunctions and suggest improvements using given criteria.

Teacher: “Good morning, grade 10! Look at the slide – you see three sentences with blanks. The missing words are conjunctions. I will read them aloud:
‘Kazakhstan is rich in history, ___ its legends are full of wisdom.’ (but / and / because)
‘The Golden Man was found ___ archaeologists excavated the Issyk mound.’ (when / although / so)
‘___ the legend says, ___ the steppe remembers, the spirit of independence never dies.’ (Both … and / Either … or / Not only … but also)

• Possible answers: 1 – ‘but’ (coordinating); 2 – ‘when’ (subordinating); 3 – ‘Both … and’ (correlative).

• Identifies at least two correct conjunctions.
• Labels conjunction type with plausible reasoning.
