"Good morning, everyone! Let's start with a real story. Imagine a famous writer, Alex Rider. He usually writes spy novels, but for his new book, he decided to mix elements of science, futuristic technology, and a crime mystery set on Mars. His publisher is worried: 'Is this science fiction, a detective story, or something new? How will readers and bookstores categorize it?' What do you think? In pairs, discuss for 2 minutes: What genre do you think this book will be? Why? What problems might the writer face with such a mix?" (После обсуждения): "Let's hear your predictions. S1, what did you and your partner decide?" (Выслушивает 2-3 пары). "Interesting ideas! Today, we will learn to clearly define and distinguish types of fiction, which is crucial not just for readers, but also for writers, publishers, and even librarians who need to follow certain 'rules' of categorization. This brings order to the world of books." |
