| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (method: riddle + hypothesis) |
Teacher: “Good morning, Grade 9! Look at the screen. Here is a riddle: I wake you up in the morning, yet I am not an alarm clock. I make you sing, draw, code or bake, but I am not a teacher. I can fill your pocket if you are smart, but I am not a bank. What am I? (pauses) Think for 20 seconds, then share your guess with a partner.” After 3–4 guesses: “That’s right – it’s your hobby! Today we explore how a hobby can become a business. Let’s set the goal: we’ll read real stories, research success factors, and design our own mini business ideas. And remember Adal Azamat value: Responsibility – you are responsible for making the idea realistic and useful for others.” Show slide with riddle and three images (hobby → business icons). |
– Listen to riddle, think individually (15 sec), then turn to partner (pair share). – Offer hypotheses: “A hobby?”, “Passion?”, “Your talent?”. – Connect to the lesson topic. |
Descriptors (no points): • contributes a hypothesis • listens to partner’s idea • shows curiosity |
