(Draws a mind map on the board with "CAN" in the center). "Tell me any words in English or Kazakh." Possible student responses: "run", "play", "sing", "қарате" (karate), "сузу" (swim). Teacher writes them in English. "Great! Now, let's discuss three words. Point to 'run'. Can you run fast? Can a cat run? Point to 'sing'. Can you sing a Kazakh song? Can a bird sing? Point to 'swim'. Can you swim? Can a fish swim?" (Uses gestures and simple questions to elicit "Yes" or "No"). |
