| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement – storytelling with mistake |
Teacher says: “Listen to my story about a bedroom. I’ll describe it, but there is one silly mistake. Raise your hand when you hear something impossible. Ready? ‘In my bedroom there is a bed. Next to the bed there is a lamp. Behind the lamp there is a big orange elephant. In front of the window there is a desk. On the desk there is a pencil case.’ What mistake did you hear? Yes! An elephant can’t be behind a lamp in a bedroom — too big! So we use prepositions correctly.” Teacher asks: “Which prepositions did you hear? (next to, behind, in front of, on). Today we will create a bedroom poster using these words.” |
Students listen, raise hands, identify the mistake (elephant). They call out prepositions from the story: next to, behind, in front of, on. | Descriptors (no points): • Listens attentively • Spots the deliberate mistake • Names at least 2 prepositions |
