| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (Storytelling with a trigger) |
Teacher: "Good morning! Before we open our books, let me tell you a quick story. Yesterday, I read a fascinating article. It said that in some countries, 100% of all news on TV is completely fictional, created by AI, and people believe everything they see. It also claimed that because of this, those countries have the most informed and patriotic citizens in the world. What do you think?" Pause for reactions. "Your task is to listen carefully and spot the deliberate mistake or the 'trigger' in my story. What seems illogical or exaggerated? Discuss with your neighbor for 1 minute." |
Students listen to the teacher's story. They turn to their neighbor (pair work) and discuss the potential mistake. Expected responses: "100% is impossible," "Fictional news can't make you the most informed," "It's an exaggeration to make a point." Volunteers share their findings with the class. |
