"Good morning class! Today we're going to talk about something I know you all love - TV programmes, films and cartoons! Let me tell you about my favorite cartoon when I was your age. It was about a clever mouse who always outsmarted a cat. The mouse was small but very intelligent, and every episode had a funny situation where the cat tried to catch him but failed. Have you ever watched a cartoon with similar characters? What makes you laugh when you watch cartoons?" | Students listen actively and share their favorite cartoons. They describe characters and funny moments. Each student gives 1-2 sentences about what they enjoy watching. | Provide visual prompts (pictures of popular cartoon characters). Use simplified language and gestures. Allow single-word responses or pointing to pictures. Offer sentence starters: "I like ______ because ______." | Observation checklist: - Participates in discussion - Uses at least one relevant vocabulary word - Stays engaged for 3+ minutes | Picture cards of cartoon characters, whiteboard, markers |
