What am I? (pause) Think for 10 seconds, then whisper your guess to your neighbour. (After pair whispers) Who can tell me the answer? (Expected: library). Great! Now think: what other places in our neighbourhood help us every day? Shops, hospitals, parks... Today we will explore the places and buildings where we live, and you will learn to ask about them and give your opinion." Differentiation / engagement: Use a simple riddle, all can participate. For weaker learners, show a picture of a library after the riddle. |
