Teacher: "Good morning, Grade 5! I am very glad to see you. How are you today?"

"Look at the screen. I have a brain-teaser for you. Listen and think: I have no walls, but I have a door. I have no windows, but I have a golden top. Nomads can fold me and carry me on a horse. I live on the steppe. What am I?"

"Turn to your partner and tell your hypothesis. You have 30 seconds."

Elicit answers, then reveal: "It is a yurt!"

"What do you know about a yurt? Where do people live in yurts? What is a yurt made of?"

Collect 3–4 ideas on the board, then state lesson goals: "Today we will name parts of a yurt, learn new words, describe places, and create a project."
