Teacher: "Good morning! Today we're chasing happiness. You have 90 seconds. In your notebooks, write down as many words, phrases, or names of things that make YOU personally happy as you can. Ready? Set? Go! (Starts timer)." After timer: "Time's up! Count your items. Who has more than 7? 10? Great! Now, turn to your shoulder partner and share your two most interesting 'happiness sources'. I'll ask a few of you to share with the class." Script: "Aidan, what did your partner say? ... Thank you. So, we see happiness is personal. But what does science say? Today we'll read and listen to find out about a special state of mind called 'flow' and its link to happiness and our brain's capabilities." |
