In your notebooks, create a mind map. Write 'conflict' in the center and draw branches for any words, feelings, situations, or examples that come to your mind. Ready? Go! (After 1 min). Now, look at your map. I will ask three of you to share one association each and briefly say why you thought of it. Aizhan, what's one word on your map?" Possible Student Response (PSR): "Fight." Teacher: "Thank you. Why did you think of 'fight'?" PSR: "Because when people disagree strongly, they sometimes fight." Teacher: "Good point. Daniyar, what's on your map?" PSR: "Anger." Teacher: "And you, Asel?" PSR: "War, like in the news." Teacher: "Excellent. These are all key aspects. Today, we will move beyond these basic associations and learn specific vocabulary to discuss conflicts more precisely and even explore how rules and laws relate to resolving them." |
