Engagement (Mind Map & Discussion)
Teacher: "Good morning, class! Today's topic is a ghost story with a twist. I want you to close your eyes for 30 seconds and think of the word 'GHOST'. What comes to your mind? Images, feelings, words, other stories? Now, let's create a mind map on the board."

Teacher draws a central bubble with "GHOST" and invites students to shout out associations, writing them on the board (e.g., scary, castle, chains, invisible, prank, lonely).

"Excellent! Now, looking at our map, let's discuss three ideas: 1. 'Lonely' – Can a ghost be lonely? 2. 'Prank' – What if a ghost was pranked? 3. 'Friendship' – Is friendship with a ghost possible?"

"These questions will guide us today as we meet a very special ghost created by Oscar Wilde."
Students think individually, then volunteer associations. They listen to peers and participate in a brief discussion of the three selected concepts, sharing initial opinions.

Possible responses: "Ghosts are always scary." / "Maybe a ghost is sad because nobody sees him." / "In some cartoons, ghosts are friends with people."
Formative: Observation of participation and quality of associations. Diagnostic of prior knowledge and potential misconceptions about ghost stories. Whiteboard/markers, or digital mind mapping tool (e.g., Miro or MindMeister) projected. AI Tool: ChatGPT can be used to quickly generate a diverse list of associations with the keyword "ghost" to supplement student ideas if needed.
