How would you spend your free time? Think for 30 seconds, then share your ideas with your desk partner for 1 minute. I will ask a few pairs to share." Script: "Time's up. Pair 3, what did you discuss?" (Listens). "Interesting! So, you would read more books and play board games at home. Pair 7, what about you?" (Listens). "Great, organizing outdoor picnics and football with friends. So, we all have different ideas, and that's perfect. Today we will explore all these different 'types of entertainment'." |
Students think individually, then discuss in pairs (17 students = 8 pairs + 1 trio). They listen to peers and share their own ideas. Possible answers: "watch streams online," "go hiking," "learn a new instrument," "paint," "visit museums." | Provide a visual prompt on the board/screen with icons/pictures of common entertainment types (book, ball, music note, screen) to spark ideas.
