Teacher: "Good morning, class! Look at the screen. Here is a true story: Last weekend, our school basketball team had a match. After the game, somebody left a bag in the gym. Nobody knew whose bag it was. Everybody wanted to help. Finally, somebody checked the name tag and returned it. The team felt proud because everybody worked together." Prediction question: "Why do you think I used the words somebody, nobody, everybody? What do they have in common? Write your guess on your mini-whiteboard. You have 1 minute." Teacher circulates, reads some guesses aloud, then says: "These words are called indefinite pronouns. Today we will learn how to use them correctly when we talk about hobbies and free time." |
