| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (Mind map & discussion) |
Teacher: "Good morning! Today we're talking about TV. Let's brainstorm. What comes to your mind when you hear 'TV programs'? I'll give you 1 minute to write down all your ideas." (Writes "TV PROGRAMS" in the center of the board). After 1 min: "Great! I see many words. Let's discuss three: 'news', 'cartoon', 'reality show'. Why did you choose them? What rules do you think exist for watching these at home? For example, is there a time limit?" | Students individually write down associations (e.g., film, series, funny, boring, remote control, sofa, family). Volunteers share their words. Students respond to teacher's questions: "News is informative", "Cartoons are for children", "My parents have a rule: no TV after 10 p.m." |
