Teacher says: “Listen to my short story. I will make one mistake about housework. Raise your hand when you hear something wrong.” Story: “Yesterday I helped at home. I cooked dinner, then I did the ironing while watching TV. After that I made my bed in the afternoon. Then I set the table for breakfast — but we were eating lunch! And I took the rubbish out. What was the mistake?” Mistake: setting the table for breakfast when it was lunchtime (or illogical order). Students spot the error. Teacher elicits 2-3 housework words from the story, writes them on board. |
