| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (Provocative question & voting) |
Teacher: "Good morning! I have a question for you. Imagine you could attend any event in the world right now – a concert, a sports game, a science fair, a festival. Which one would you choose? Let's vote quickly! Raise your hand for: A) Music concert, B) Football match, C) Art exhibition, D) Something else." (Teacher counts hands quickly). "Interesting! Most of you chose... Now, tell your neighbor in one sentence: Why did you choose that event?" After 1 minute: "Great. Today, we will learn how to write about an event we attended, just like in an email to a friend." | Students vote by raising hands. They then turn to a neighbor (pair formed with the person next to them) and share their reason. They listen to the teacher's introduction to the lesson topic. |
Descriptors: • The student participates in the vote. • The student shares one reason with a partner. No points. |
