  • Productive Skill (Speaking): 5.3.1.1 – provide basic information about themselves and others at sentence level on an increasing range of general topics.
  • Use of English (Grammar): 5.6.1.1 – use appropriate countable and uncountable nouns, including common noun phrases on a limited range of familiar general and curricular topics.
Lesson goal
  1. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify at least 5 key weather adjectives (e.g., sunny, rainy, windy) from a short listening text and match them to corresponding pictures.
  2. Students will be able to ask and answer the question "What's the weather like?" using the structure "It's + adjective" in a paired dialogue, providing basic information about weather in different cities.
  3. Students will correctly categorize and use at least 3 countable (e.g., cloud, umbrella) and 3 uncountable (e.g., rain, snow, wind) nouns related to weather in simple sentences.

Engagement (Weather Charades)		 Teacher: "Good morning, class! Let's start with a quick game. I will show you a picture of weather on the screen for 10 seconds. Your task is to guess the word and shout it out! Ready? First picture... (shows a sun). What is it?"
Expected student response: "Sunny!"
"Great! Next one... (shows rain)."
Expected student response: "Rainy!"
"Excellent! We have 5 more pictures. Let's see how fast you are. Timer starts now!" (Runs through 5 weather images: windy, cloudy, snowy, hot, cold).
"Well done! Today we are talking about weather. Our question is: What's the weather like?" 		Students observe the images on the screen and actively shout out the corresponding weather adjectives in English. They engage in a fast-paced, energetic guessing game. Descriptors: The student actively participates, attempts to say the words, shows interest.
