What if you woke up tomorrow and your hair turned green and your nose grew as long as an elephant’s trunk? How would you describe yourself? Think for 10 seconds, then tell your partner.” Teacher: “Let me hear a few ideas.” (Elicits 2–3 answers, writes key vocabulary on the board: long nose, green hair, funny, strange.) Teacher: “Great! So today you will learn the words you need to describe yourself, your friends, and cartoon characters. Watch the screen — here are some heroes from Shrek. Who do you see?” Shows slides with Shrek, Fiona, Merlin, Rapunzel, Prince Charming. Teacher: “By the end of this lesson you will be able to write a description of any character and compare them. Let’s start!” |
