Sit down. Look at this picture. What is going on? What is funny here?" Step 2. Elicit responses. Lead students to the word "flood". Teacher: "Yes, the cow is on the roof and the water is everywhere — this is a flood! Why is this meme about us? Do we have floods in Kazakhstan?" Step 3. Connect the meme to the lesson topic. Teacher: "Exactly. Every spring in Kazakhstan rivers overflow, and people fight floods, like in Atyrau and Pavlodar.
