|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (provocative question + quick voting) |
Teacher: “Imagine: you have to send an important message to your grandparent who lives in a village. You have no smartphone, no internet. Only a pen, paper, and a stamp. How would you feel? Easy or difficult? Why?” • Ask students to stand up and move to one side of the room: LEFT = “I would feel lost / it’s very hard”, RIGHT = “I would manage / it’s okay”, CENTER = “not sure”. • Quick debrief: call 2–3 students from each side to share one reason. Connect to “communication then vs now”. • Write on board: “Today we travel from past communication to present – and we will use both tenses.” Value hook: “Our grandparents used letters, telegrams. That was their way to stay close to the Motherland. The proverb says ‘Motherland is hotter than fire’ – even without instant messaging, people kept love for their country and family.” |
• Students listen, think, and move to a zone. • 2–3 students express opinion. • Others observe and nod / show disagreement with body language. • All 18 participate physically. |
Descriptors (no points): - participates in voting (movement) - gives a short reason (if called) - shows active listening |
Whiteboard, markers, three signs (LEFT / RIGHT / CENTER). |
