Teacher: "Good morning, class! Today we're diving into the world of comics. Before we start, let me tell you a quick story about how my favorite comic was made. Listen carefully: 'First, the writer writes an amazing story. Then, the artist draws beautiful pictures. After that, the colorist adds bright colors. Finally, the publisher prints thousands of copies and sells them in shops. The comic is loved by millions of fans.' Did you notice anything special about the last sentence? What's different? Turn to your neighbor and discuss for 30 seconds."
After discussion: "Yes! The last sentence is structured differently. The comic 'is loved' – the comic is receiving the action. This is our secret grammar tool for today, hidden in the world of comics!" |
Students listen to the story. They discuss the highlighted sentence with a partner (25 students = 12 pairs + 1 trio). They identify that the subject (the comic) is not doing the action but receiving it. | Descriptors: The student actively listens, participates in pair discussion, and attempts to identify the unusual sentence structure. Note: No points. |
Whiteboard/Projector. AI Tool: A text-to-speech generator (e.g., NaturalReaders) could be used to pre-record the story with emphasis on the target sentence, making the trigger more auditory and engaging. |
