On your mini-whiteboards, write down as many words as you can connected to 'city' and 'buildings'. Ready? Go!" (Starts timer). After timer: "Stop! Now, show your board to your partner. Who has 5 words? 7? Great. Can anyone share one interesting word?"
Possible student responses: "Skyscraper, flat, shop, park, road, tall, window." Teacher: "Excellent! Words like 'skyscraper' are perfect for our topic today: 'Buildings above the clouds'." |
