1. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify at least three main points from a short text about the benefits of learning a foreign language.
2. Students will be able to write a short paragraph (5-7 sentences) expressing their personal feelings and opinions about learning English, using teacher-provided sentence starters and vocabulary support.
3. Students will be able to evaluate their own and peers' work using given success criteria, demonstrating diligence and the ability to finish tasks with quality.

Teacher: "Good morning, everyone! Let's start with a quick imagination game. Close your eyes for a moment. What if you woke up tomorrow and you could speak English perfectly — just like a native speaker? What would be different in your day? Think about games, movies, friends, travel, or school. I'll give you 30 seconds to think, then I want to hear your ideas."

After 30 seconds, teacher calls on 3-4 students randomly.

Teacher: "Great ideas! So today we are going to talk about the real benefits of learning a foreign language, and then you will write your own opinion about it. Let's find out what you already know."

Differentiation: For struggling learners, teacher provides sentence starters on the board: "I could…", "I would…", "It would help me to…". For advanced learners, teacher asks "What would be the biggest challenge if you suddenly spoke perfect English?"

• Students close eyes and think individually for 30 seconds.
• Volunteers share their ideas (e.g., "I could play online games with friends from other countries", "I would understand movies without subtitles", "I could travel to London and talk to people").
• All students listen to peers and may add one more idea.
