Real-life hook + prediction Teacher shows a large picture of a firefighter helping a cat from a tree (or a young volunteer reading to elderly people). “Look at this photo. This is Aigul. She is a firefighter. Do you think she is brave? Why?” Elicit 2–3 ideas, then say: “Today we will learn words to describe people like Aigul. You will also tell me why you admire someone.” Write on board: inspiring, brave, kind. Ask students to repeat chorally. |
- Look at the image. - Listen to teacher. - Answer “yes/no” or short phrase. - Repeat new words in chorus. |
Visual support: picture + word cards on the board. SEN students have a printed card with the three words and a simple icon (heart for kind, shield for brave). Teacher points to the card while speaking. |
Descriptors (no points): • Participates in choral repetition. • Attempts a prediction (verbal or gesture). |
- Projector / large printed photo - Word cards (brave, kind, inspiring) - Board markers |
