Teacher (____________________): “Good morning, everyone! Let’s start with a quick mind map. On your small whiteboard (or paper) write the word BUILDINGS in the centre and around it write any words you think of — school, hospital, shop, etc. You have 1 minute. Go!” After 1 minute: “Great! Now I’ll pick three of your ideas. (chooses 3 learners) Aruzhan, what did you write? … Yes, ‘hospital’. Ask me: ‘What is this?’ (shows a picture of a hospital). Look, I answer: ‘This is a hospital.’ Now, Berik, you wrote ‘shops’. Show your card and ask: ‘What are these?’ … Excellent! We’ll use these words today.” Value link: “Today we practise diligence — finish every task with quality. Let’s begin!” |
