| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (Rapid Challenge) |
Teacher: "Good morning! Today's world is built on work and brilliant inventions. Let's warm up. You have 2 minutes. I will show you 6 images of tools/objects. In your notebooks, quickly write the profession you most associate with each object. Ready? Timer starts now!" (Displays slides: stethoscope, blueprint, code on a screen, microscope, wrench, camera). After timer: "Time's up! Let's share. For the stethoscope, Aruzhan?" (Listens, confirms). "Excellent. A doctor is a person who uses a stethoscope. Did you notice I just used a special clause to define the doctor? That's our grammar focus today. Let's dive in." |
Students look at the images and write down one profession per object (e.g., doctor, architect, programmer, scientist, engineer, photographer). They share answers when called upon. They listen to the teacher's example sentence. | Descriptors: • Student participates by writing at least 4 professions. • Student attempts to share an answer verbally. (no points) |
PPT slides with 6 images. Timer (online or phone). Student notebooks, pens. |
