Teacher: "Good morning, class! Today's unit is about traditions and languages. To start, I want you to think about the word 'TRADITION'. On your mini-whiteboards or a piece of paper, you have 1 minute to create a mind map of all the words, phrases, or ideas that come to your mind. Ready? Go!" (Times 1 minute). "Time's up! Now, look at your map. I want you to choose the three most interesting or surprising associations you wrote. Be ready to share one with the class. For example, from my map: 'family recipes', 'national holidays', 'storytelling'. Who would like to start?" | Students quickly create an individual mind map with words like "festival", "language", "customs", "food", "clothes", "music", "ancestors". They select three associations. Volunteers share one each with the class, e.g., "I wrote 'wedding dances' because it's a tradition in my region." |
