4. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to combine 4 pairs of sentences into complex structures using when and while, correctly distinguishing continuous background action and short interrupting action.

Teacher script: "Good morning, Grade 7! Let's start with a quick challenge. I'll show you 8 hobby pictures on the screen. You have 30 seconds to write the hobby word and match it with a definition from the handout. Ready? Go!"

After 30 sec: "Check with your partner. How many did you get? Let's review together."
