Teacher: "Good morning! Let's start with a riddle. I am a place full of stories, but you don't read me in a book. You can visit me with friends, but you must be quiet inside. I have a big screen and sell popcorn. What am I? Think for 30 seconds, then share your hypothesis with your desk partner." After pair discussion (1 min), the teacher asks for answers: "So, what do you think? Yes, a cinema! Perfect. Today we are talking about 'Entertainment' – all the fun things we do in our free time. Why do you think rules, like being quiet in the cinema, are important even when we are having fun?" Listens to 2-3 student responses. |
Students listen to the riddle. They think individually, then discuss their guess with a partner (19 students = 9 pairs + 1 trio). They volunteer answers and share initial thoughts on rules. | Provide a visual clue on a card (picture of a cinema seat, popcorn, a "silence" icon). Teacher circulates to the pair/trio with SEN student to prompt with keywords: "place", "watch", "quiet". | Descriptors (no points): • The student participates in the pair discussion. • The student attempts to guess the riddle. • The student shares an idea about rules. |
Projector/Screen, Riddle slide with visual clues. |
