| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (method: Who am I? mini-game) |
Teacher: “Good morning, class! Today we are going to talk about historical figures. But first, let’s play a quick game. I will show you three clues about a famous person from history. You have 30 seconds to guess who it is. Ready?” (Teacher projects slide with three clues – e.g. for Albert Einstein: 1) I was born in Germany. 2) I had a famous hairstyle. 3) I developed the theory of relativity.) Teacher: “Clue 1… Clue 2… Clue 3. Who is it? Write your guess on your mini-whiteboard. 3, 2, 1 – show me!” Teacher checks answers, confirms “Albert Einstein”, then asks: “What makes a person a historical figure? Think for 10 seconds – share with your partner.” Teacher script: “Great! So a historical figure is someone who did something important and is remembered. Today we will learn how to talk about them and share our opinions. Our value today is diligence and professionalism – we will work carefully, finish our tasks, and help each other.” |
