Teacher says: "Listen to my short story. I will make a mistake with the verb be. Raise your hand when you hear something wrong." Story: "Hello class! I am your teacher. My name is Ms. Sara. I is happy today. You is great students. We am in Grade 5. Our school are big. It are Monday today." After students spot errors, quickly review correct forms (I am, you are, we are, it is). Homework check: collect Ex.1 (complete table with verb be). Walk around, stamp/check. Give 1 point for completion. Quick quiz (5 min, 2 sections): Handout mini quiz (see Ready-to-use tasks). Section A – 4 gap-fill, Section B – 2 question formation. Total 3 points. |
