| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (What if...? question) |
Teacher: "Good morning, class! Today we are talking about writers and their lives. Let's start with a fun question: What if your favourite book character could meet the author who created them? What would they talk about? Think for a moment." (Pauses). "Now, share your ideas with your desk partner for one minute." (Walks around, listens). "Who wants to share their partner's interesting idea?" (Selects 2-3 students).
Script: "Ali, what did your partner say?" (Listens). "Great idea! So, Harry Potter might ask J.K. Rowling why she chose a scar on his forehead. That shows curiosity about the author's choices. This is exactly what we do today – we explore a real author's life with curiosity." |
Students think individually. They discuss ideas in pairs. Volunteers share their or their partner's imaginative scenarios. | Descriptors (no points):
