Write as many family words as you can in your notebook — but you can only use English! Ready? Go!” Set a visible timer (1 minute). After the timer rings, teacher asks: “Who has more than 5 words? Stand up!” Then quick choral repetition of the most frequent words (mother, father, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, cousin). “Great! Now turn to your partner (A/B pairs) and show your list. Add any new words you see.” |
- Students individually brainstorm and write down family words in English. - After the timer, they stand if they have >5 words. - They repeat the words chorally. - In pairs (2 students), they compare lists and add new words. |
