Teacher says: “Look at the screen: Kazakhstan’s new Constitution (2026) guarantees freedom of speech and the right to choose your profession. Today we’ll talk about your preferences – in science, technology and civic life. First, a short video: a Kazakh scientist shares why she chose renewable energy. Predict: what personal reason did she give?”

Shows 1-min video / slide with quote. After 2 min discussion: “Turn to your partner – share one preference about science you have. Why?”

Differentiation: provide sentence starters for struggling learners: “I prefer … because …”
