| Lesson opening (5 min) Engagement (Mind Map & Discussion) |
Teacher: "Good morning! Our topic today is 'Natural Wonders'. I want you to close your eyes for 30 seconds and think of this phrase. What comes to mind? Places, feelings, images. Now, open your eyes. Let's create a mind map on the board. Who can give me the first association?" Writes "Natural Wonders" in the center of the board and adds student suggestions (e.g., Grand Canyon, waterfall, beautiful, huge, volcano). "Excellent! Now, looking at our map, let's discuss three of these in more detail. For example, 'volcano'. Why is a volcano a wonder? What makes it powerful or dangerous?" |
Students think individually. Volunteers share associations (e.g., mountain, ocean, forest, amazing). Students listen and build on each other's ideas. They participate in the discussion, explaining their choices (e.g., "I think the ocean is a wonder because it's so deep and we haven't explored all of it."). |
