First, let’s quickly create a mind map of associations.” 2. Mind map (1 min): “On the board I write ‘HOBBIES’. In your notebook, write as many words or short phrases that come to your mind. You have 60 seconds. Ready? Go!” 3. Pick 3 to discuss (3 min): “Now, who wants to share one word from their mind map? Let’s pick three.” Teacher writes three volunteered words on the board, asks: “Why did you choose this word? Do you do this hobby? How often?” Possible student responses: “I wrote ‘reading’ because I like fantasy books.” / “I wrote ‘football’ – I play every Saturday.” Teacher briefly connects to past experiences: “Did you read a good book last week? Did you play football yesterday?” |
