Storytelling with a deliberate mistake Teacher says: “Listen to my short story about a magic garden. Yesterday I go to the park and see two beautiful plants. They have got big green leaves. But one plant have got no flowers. I think that’s strange. Oh wait, I made a mistake – do you know what it is? Yes, we say “has got” for one plant! Great.” “Today we will talk about plants and also about a special festival for twins – they look like two plants from the same seed! And we'll practice have got/has got and describing words.” Ask: “What is your favourite plant? One word.” (quick choral) |
Students listen to the story, spot the mistake (one plant have got → has got). They answer with the correct form. They share favourite plant in one word. | Descriptors (no points): • recognizes the grammar error in the story. • provides an answer about favourite plant. |
Whiteboard, markers, topic-related picture of two plants/twins. |
