1. By the end of the lesson, 85% of learners will be able to count from 1 to 20 and answer basic personal questions (name, age) with 80% accuracy.
2. Learners will create a short visual description (3–5 words) of themselves or a classmate using numbers and simple adjectives.
3. Learners will work in groups to produce a mini‑poster “About me” with at least three personal facts (name, age, favourite colour/number).

1-minute mind map: “Draw or write everything that comes to your mind when you hear ‘Hello English!’. Use the centre of your paper.”

Pick 3 ideas to discuss: “Now look at your map. Choose 3 words or pictures. I will ask 4–5 learners to share.” Possible prompts: “Why did you write ‘alphabet’? How do you say ‘hello’ in other languages?”

Teacher script: “Everyone, take a coloured pencil. In one minute we will make a mind map. Ready? Go!” (after 1 min) “Stop! Point to three ideas. Who wants to share?”

• Draw/write associations (letters, numbers, colours, friends).
• Volunteers explain 3 ideas (e.g. “I wrote A,B,C – alphabet”, “I drew number 5 – I am five”).

SEN support: Provide a pre‑printed mind‑map with 3 bubbles (alphabet, numbers, about me). Use picture prompts (apple, 3, boy/girl). Learner can point or say one word.

• Participates in mind‑map (at least 2 associations).
• Shares one association verbally or non‑verbally.
