• By the end of the lesson, students will be able to extract specific factual details (age, country, appearance) from Damir’s blog with little support.
• Students will be able to identify and express Damir’s attitude/opinion toward his e-friends using clues from the text.
• Students will be able to create a short e-friend profile/card, applying appearance vocabulary and demonstrating diligence and professionalism.

Teacher script: “Good morning, class! Today we are going to read a blog. What is a blog? Let’s make a mind map. Take a piece of paper. Write BLOG in the middle. Around it, write any words that come into your mind. You have one minute. Go!”

After one minute: “Now, who would like to share a word? I will choose three.”

Select three students, write their words on the board, and briefly discuss:

• “You wrote ‘friends’ – blogs often are about people and friends.”
• “You wrote ‘photos’ – look, Damir’s blog has photos!”
• “You wrote ‘internet’ – blogs are on the internet.”

Transition: “Let’s see what Damir’s blog is about.”

• Draw a mind map around “BLOG”.
• Share one word when asked.
• Possible responses: “friends”, “photos”, “diary”, “online”, “stories”, “comments”.
