Listen carefully: What if you could travel back in time and change one thing about your physical abilities – for example, run faster, jump higher, or be stronger? What would you change? Why? Use your imagination – you can talk about past, present or future abilities. Think for 30 seconds, then share with the class.” Allow 3-4 student responses. Possible answers: “I could swim better when I was younger.” “Now I can run 5 km, but then I couldn’t.” “In the future I will be able to do a handstand.” After sharing, say: “Great! Notice how you used could, can, will be able to – exactly the forms we’ll practise today.” |
