1. Identify and name 6–8 everyday chores from a short story with 90% accuracy.
2. Describe what people do at home using simple present sentences (e.g. “She waters the plants.”) in pair work.
3. Produce a short written description (3–4 sentences) of a daily chore routine, using at least 4 chore phrases from the lesson.

1. Greet students. “Good morning, everyone! Today we talk about what we do every day at home. Let’s start with a quick game.”

2. Show 8 chore flashcards (one per 15 seconds). Set a timer (2 min). “I will show a picture; you stand up and say the chore in English. Ready?”

3. Teacher cues: “(show ‘walk the dog’) … what is it? Yes! Next: (show ‘do the dishes’) …”

4. After the game: “Great energy! You already know many chores. Today we will use them in a story and describe our own routines.”

• Stand up when a flashcard appears.
• Choral and individual response (e.g. “walk the dog”, “water the plants”).
• Listen to teacher’s praise and corrections.

• Responds to at least 5 flashcards without prompting.
• Shows enthusiasm and tries to say the phrase.

• 8 flashcards (do the dishes, feed the fish, make the beds, tidy the room, walk the dog, take out the rubbish, water the plants, do the shopping).
• Timer (phone / online).
