Task 1. Listening Comprehension (LO 6.2.8.1)
Instructions: You will listen to a short story about a family trip to Almaty twice. Read the statements (1-4) below. After listening, decide if the statements are True (T), False (F), or Not Stated (NS). Write your answers in the table.
Audio Script (for teacher): "Last summer, my family and I travelled to Almaty by train. The journey was long but very beautiful. We saw mountains and green fields from the window. We stayed in a small hotel near the city centre. On the first day, we visited the famous Medeu skating rink and Kok-Tobe hill. We took a cable car to get to the top of Kok-Tobe. The view was amazing! We also tried traditional Kazakh food in a local restaurant. My favourite dish was beshbarmak. We didn't go to the museum because it was closed for renovation. We bought some souvenirs for our friends. The weather was sunny every day, so we were very lucky."
