Variant 1
Task 1. Talk with a friend. (5 points)
Situation: You and your friend are talking about TV shows.
Look at the pictures. One picture shows a cartoon. One picture shows a news program.
Student A: Start the talk. Ask your friend: "What is your favourite TV show?"
Student B: Answer your friend. Say the name of your favourite show. Say why you like it. (Example: "It is funny.").
Student A: Listen to your friend. Then, say if you like this show or not. Give a reason. (Example: "Yes, I like it because..." or "No, I don't like it because...").
Goal: Use informal talk with a friend. Connect your answers to what your friend says.
Teacher will show pictures of a cartoon and a news program to help with ideas.
