Instructions: You will listen to a short text twice. After listening, answer the questions. Then, discuss one of the questions with your partner.
Text for Listening: "My Weekend"
(To be read by the teacher at a moderate pace)
Hello! My name is Alex. Last weekend was very busy but fun. On Saturday morning, I first cleaned my room. Then, I went to the park with my friend Sam. We played football because the weather was sunny. After that, we had a picnic. On Sunday, I visited my grandparents. We had lunch together and watched an old film. Finally, in the evening, I did my homework and read a book. It was a good weekend!

Part B. Speaking (2 marks).

Part B (2 marks):
• 2 marks: Provides a clear answer to the question with a reason, using appropriate vocabulary. Speech is mostly fluent.
• 1 mark: Provides a basic or partially correct answer. Speech may be hesitant.
• 0 marks: Does not attempt or answer is irrelevant.
